A Bear man died Thursday night in a two car crash on Route 1 in Christiana, Delaware State Police said.
According to police, the 34-year-old was driving north on Route 1, just south of the Interstate 95 overpass, when he lost control of his Honda Civic and hit a concrete barrier on the right shoulder of the road.
The man got out of the car following the crash and was standing in the left lane of the road when a 54-year-old woman from Townsend, who was also driving north, hit the man s Civic.
After hitting the Civic, the woman s car also hit the man. He died on scene, while the woman was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Two men were seriously injured after a Tuesday morning crash on Coastal Highway near Milton.
Delaware State Police said a 22-year-old Bethany Beach man was airlifted to a hospital and a 56-year-old man from Lincoln was taken by ambulance to a hospital following a collision that occurred near the Broadkill River Bridge around 7:20 a.m. Tuesday.

A 54-year-old inmate at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center died Tuesday due to complications from COVID-19 and other illnesses, Delaware s Department of Correction announced Wednesday.
Prison officials said Jose Rivera, a Wilmington native, tested positive for the virus on Dec. 5 after displaying symptoms. That same day, he was admitted to Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus.
He was placed on a ventilator on Dec. 16, according to the prison, and died Tuesday evening.
Rivera, who suffered from asthma and other conditions, is the 12th DOC inmate to die after a positive COVID-19 test and first during the recent surge in cases at the department s facilities after 3½ months without a virus-related death.
