TROY, N.Y. â New York State Police in Brunswick recently arrested Christine M. Werneburg, 50, of Albany. Police said they stopped Werneburg as she traveled on Hoosick Street in the city of Troy, after she attempted to change lanes and almost sideswiped a patrol car.
When the trooper interviewed Werneburg they observed sign of impairment and Werneburg was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. While performing the tests, Werneburg removed a glass smoking pipe from her shirt and threw it. She is also accused of attempting to ingest a small quantity of crack cocaine in an attempt to destroy the evidence.

A 36-year-old Janesville woman is facing a charge of Operating While Intoxicated 4th Offense after being found asleep early Monday morning in a fast-food drive-thru. Janesville police say Amanda R. Calkins was found asleep at the wheel about 12:15 a.m. at the McDonald’s on Center Avenue. Officers say she displayed signs of impairment and was arrested after submitting to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Calkins was also arrested on charges including possession of THC, a probation violation, and warrants in both Winnebago and Rock counties.
Under the Influence Driver Arrested after Causing Crash on the Glenn Highway Wednesday
Multiple calls began streaming in to the Anchorage police on Wednesday night reporting two different vehicles in the ditch along the Glenn Highway near the Fort Rich exit.
Then at 9:31 pm, another call was fielded, this time from a woman reporting that she had been hit by another vehicle causing her to crash into the ditch.
APD responded and soon located a white 2015 Nissan Ultima off the road on the outbound lane side of the highway. As they got out of their patrol vehicles, the officers were approached by separate concerned motorists who had also stopped at the scene. Those motorists all reported that “the Nissan’s driver did not appear to be behaving normally ” APD stated.
