EcoTensil launches AquaDot range of plastic-free paperboard cutlery In advance of European legislation banning single-use plastic items such as cutlery, plates and straws by July 2021, California-based EcoTensil has introduced the AquaDot range of plastic-free, extra sturdy, folding paperboard cutlery. Since 2010, the company has sold hundreds of millions of units globally, including to some of Europe’s largest food manufacturers and retailers. EcoTensil has begun the full European launch of its plastic-free AquaDot cutlery including designs specific for to-go packaging. EcoTensil said its plastic-free AquaDot folding EcoSpoon is a ready replacement for plastic. It added that it works seamlessly with many existing packages and processes and has a more positive impact on the taste of food than wooden cutlery.

COVID forces popular food chain to collapse A popular frozen yoghurt chain has announced they haven’t survived the pandemic and will be shutting up shop for good next month. Business by Jessica McSweeney Premium Content Subscriber only Popular frozen yoghurt chain Yogurtland will be shutting down nationwide as the company told customers their business model became untenable during the pandemic.  Yogurtland made the announcement on its social media Friday morning to thousands of shocked customers.  All Yogurtland stores will close next month. After eight years of making bad days good and good days great, we have made the difficult decision to close all Yogurtland Australia locations, the statement said.
