For the second time in less than a week, Tamil Naduâs senior ministers and AIADMK leaders met Director General of Police J K Tripathy on Saturday to complain against V K Sasikala, the former aide of late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
Sasikala, who was recently released from prison in Bengaluru after completing her four year term in a corruption case, is set to return to Chennai on February 8 and her supporters have planned a massive reception for her en route from the Tamil Nadu-Karnataka border. However, the Law Minister C Ve Shanmugam, Electricity Minister Thangamani and Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar along with AIADMK presidium chairman Madhusudanan met the DGP alleging that Sasikalaâs supporters planned to incite violence on the occasion.

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], December 23 (ANI): DMK chief MK Stalin on Wednesday said that if Governor Banwarilal Purohit does not take an action on the list of charges of corruption against the Tamil Nadu Ministers then the party will approach the court. If the Governor doesn t take action on the list of charges of corruption against Tamil Nadu ministers, then we will approach the court, said Stalin.
Yesterday, DMK handed over a 97-page list of alleged corruptions in AIADMK government to the Governor.

Chennai, Dec 22 : DMK President M.K.Stalin on Tuesday submitted a representation to Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit alleging corruption against the Council of Ministers.
Stalin along with senior party leaders like Duraimurugan, T.R. Baalu met Purohit at Raj Bhavan and submitted the representation.
According to the representation, Tamil Nadu Ministers are obstructing the legal proceedings by influencing the police department, the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption and the State Vigilance Commission preventing registration of First Information Report (FIR) and thereafter, any impartial and fair investigation into allegations of corruption against them.

CHENNAI: Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) founder Kamal Haasan on Sunday yet again joined issue with the ruling AIADMK over late Chief Minister M G Ramachandran s (MGR) legacy, saying anyone who had ideals like the stalwart could be his heir .
His party had ideals like him and therefore, we are his extension, Haasan said at a poll rally here, days after chief minister and AIADMK Co-coordinator K Palaniswami said no one other than the ruling party can lay claim to MGR s legacy.
