SRINAGAR, Dec 22: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested a 35-year-old resident of Srinagar for allegedly running a racket that involved circulating child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on the internet after targeting US-based minors with the help of his wife, officials said on Tuesday.
The CBI booked the accused under section 14 (use of child for pornographic purposes) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and section 67-B (publishing or transmitting of material depicting children in sexually explicit act, etc. in electronic form) of the Information Technology Act, news agency reports quoting officials said.

New Delhi, Dec 23: The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a 35 year old man from Srinagar on charges of running an online child abuse racket targeting minors living in the USA.
The operation was successfully carried out on the basis of a tip off by the FBI. The CBI learnt that the accused Niyaz Ahmed Mir would upload pornographic videos and images over the dark web for financial gains. He was also in touch with many minors in the USA. The agency said that the racket was being run by Mir along with his USA based wife, Tamara Stanley, who was involved in a master-slave relationship with her husband.
A shocking case of an Indian couple involved in sexual exploitation of minors in the United States of America and active involvement in recording and selling of Child Sexual Abuse Material online has been unearthed by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
The CBI special unit has arrested a man in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir and booked him under section 14 of Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences Act and section 67-B of the Information Technology Act.
He is accused of running a CSAM racket and targetting minors living in the USA. “Accused had uploaded the child sexual abuse material videos and images over the dark web for financial gains and was in direct communication with many minors in the USA,” said the CBI.

His wife, 34-year old Tamara Stanley, a resident of Hoquiam, Grays Harbor County in Southwest Washington state was arrested on June 25.
