Political prisoner Phromsorn Weerathamjaree, known as Fah, has been released on bail from the Thanyaburi prison after 53 days in pre-trial detention and a hunger strike.

According to the Thai Lawyers for Human Rights (TLHR), the Court of Appeal Region 1 allowed bail with security of 200,000 baht, with the condition that Phromsorn wears an Electronic Monitoring (EM) bracelet, does not tamper with evidence and does not commit similar offences to the one he is charged with.
He was bailed after four earlier requests had been rejected.
Phromsorn was bailed on 10 May.
The report states that Fah is “known as a talented public speaker and later joined Ratsadon Mutelu, a group of political activists that address structural problems via acts of sorcery.”

PATHUM THANI: A male university student was found dead in wild grass in Thanyaburi district on Monday, with a knife wound to his neck.
The body of Soryut Pimaneewan, 25, of tambon Prachathibat in Thanyaburi district, was found on Monday afternoon in grass near the entrance to a dirt yard behind the Tesco Lotus Rangsit store, in tambon Prachathibat, Pol Lt Col Pairat Wanee, duty officer at Pratunam Chulalongkorn, said.

All 18 detained protesters have denied charges pressed against them in connection with fresh rallies against the government on Saturday.
Thai Lawyers for Human Rights on Sunday posted a Facebook message saying the activists, including Piyarat Toto Chonthep, denied the charges after being informed by police.
They were under detention at the Border Patrol Police Region 1 barracks in Thanya Buri district in Pathum Thani. Two of them who were underaged were temporarily released pending an ordered to appear before the Central Juvenile and Family Court later on Sunday.

Thailand added 42 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 26,073. One new deaths was reported, raising the toll to 84.
Of the 42 new cases, 35 were reported from hospitals, four were diagnosed during active case-finding and three were found in arrivals from abroad.
