KTRE in Lufkin is reporting that a ten month old child died and three other people were injured in house fire that occurred there on Saturday night.
According to the report, firemen were dispatched to the home in the 600 block of Lone Star Road when it was reported that the house was on fire.
The firefighters arrived to find the child dead and his father, mother and a brother injured.
Young Arerelio Malpica was pronounced dead at the scene by an Angelina County Justice of Peace. However, the child s father, Carlos Malpica 22, and his mother, Adrian Silva, 23, along with a brother, Israel Lopez, 21, were all injured and taken to hospitals for treatment.

LUFKIN, Texas A 10-month-old boy died from injuries sustain in a house fire in Lufkin on Saturday, Angelina County officials have confirmed.
The baby has been identified as Arerelio Malpica. Several others were injuried in the fire: Carlos Malpica, 22, was taken to LSU Shreveport for treatment of severe burns; Adrian Silva, 23, baby’s mother, was taken to Woodland Heights Medical Center due to difficulty breathing; and Israel Lopez, 21, was taken to CHI Memorial for treatment of a cut.
Caltrans is hosting a virtual public meeting seeking community comments about a proposed safety improvement project on Highway 49 in Placer County.
The online event is scheduled from 6 to 7 p.m. May 26. The meeting will be hosted via Cisco WebEx due to COVID-19 restrictions for public gatherings. A second virtual public meeting is currently planned with details to be announced at a later date.
During the presentation, community members will learn about the project alternatives, view displays and maps and learn where they can review the environmental document, which is available for comment through June 17. Caltrans staff members will be available to answer questions and receive comments from the public.
