Great news for those going up the peninsula and those going into or out of marin county, its foggy and you will need extra time. For traffic, its clear. The metering lights are not yet on at the bay bridge this morning but they will be soon. Im anne makovec at the live news desk and north korea has fired up another series of Ballistic Missiles. Its causing international concern. This is the fourth launch in two weeks and the pentagon is calling them short range Ballistic Missiles and the north apparently is upset over prescheduled military exercises by the u. S. And south korea and we are hearing from some of those countries with the defense minister of japan sayi
But seasonal daytime highs looking for 86 in concord, 88 in livermore, 70 later in the afternoon and oakland, midof n withcleariand cl cover puing back through the day. More on that cool down coming up. Heating up in some drive spots this morning with the overall main travel time mostly in the green though the Altamont Pass is now in the red, a 42 minute ride out it was the tracy triangle toward the 586 interchange and good to go on highway 4 and 101 and not the story on the nimitz this morning. At 23rd, there is an accident blocking one lane with chp trying to get that cleared and in the meantime, barely crawling northbound and then you move along just fine then slow at the maze. I will work on some reroutes and in the meantime, lets go to the san mateo bridge with an accident approaching the toll plaza and it seems like that delay and the slowness continues onto the bridge toward the peninsula. East bound, everything is moving fine and the bay bridge is slow and go and the toll pleas

Upper 50s, santa rosa, 52. The west coast is under the influence of low pressure. Each day it will start warm up. This will be the coolest day over the weekend. Near 84 some toward sunday and monday. Sal, things still quite . They are quiet. If you want to look at the bay bridge toll plaza and see what weve got, you will know just by looking at this how quiet it is. Usually we have a backup. Today, there really isnt one. Crickets. Kind of like the traffic on social media today. People are either sleeping in or already on the road are going the other way perhaps. They are not on the regular commute. The san mateo bridge looks good

It is still a west breeze but look for a lot of cloud cover going back into a rainy pattern and nothing compared to january and february but things will start picking up by the weekend with 50s and 60s near the water. We got busy all of the sudden. We did get busy. We do have a lot of slow traffic and the slowest right now or at least one of the areas is highway 24 westbound driving up to the tunnel due to some earlier problems and they are gone it was a noninjury crashed near the tunnel all of the lanes are clear but the traffic is taking a while to unwind with close lanes and that is what caused all of this slow traffic here in lafayette and also in orinda.
