CONSIDERING CAREERS: Partners of Norwich’s Career and Internship Center will present a series of virtual employer information sessions through the Handshake application. From 5 to 6 p.m. Monday, New York-based global investment bank Morgan Stanley will invite Norwich freshmen and sophomores to participate in its “Leaders and Learning” series. Eddy Breaks WVU Smallbore Record Author: By Lindsay Auld, WVU Athletics The West Virginia University rifle team defeated Ole Miss in their last home match of the season, by a score of 4737-4713 on Sunday, at the Bill McKenzie Rifle Range in Morgantown.  The Mountaineers (7-0, 5-0 GARC) swept the Rebels (7-5, 4-4 GARC) in both disciplines, winning smallbore, 2351-2346 and air rifle, 2386-2367. Junior Jared Eddy matched the WVU school record in smallbore after he shot a 595. He also tied the smallbore standing record with a 199. The smallbore record was previously set by Petra Zublasing (595) on Feb. 23, 2013, in Oxford, Mississippi, at the GARC Championships. The smallbore standing record was previously set by Ginny Thrasher (199) on Nov. 4, 2017, vs. TCU.

Nebraska Athletic Communications says the last time the Cornhuskers played more road games than home games in a season was 1946 (5 road games, 4 home games).

Williams scored 15 points in the Dec. 12 game against DBU.   The ASU Rams Basketball Team on Dec. 11 traveled to the Burg Center in Dallas, Texas to take on the Dallas Baptist Patriots to start the 2020 season. Three-point shooting would falter for the Rams, as they lost Friday’s game 101-75 and Saturday’s game 93-86 to the Patriots on Dec. 12.   DBU had a strong first half in Friday s game, taking control and never letting up. ASU finished the game shooting 43.9% from the field, including 37.5% from behind the arc. DBU didn t seem to miss often, shooting 62.5% from the field, including 50% from behind the arc. They also outrebounded ASU 37-23.
