The US-UK Trade Bill poses a threat to children’s online protections, but tomorrow (Tuesday) Parliament has a very straightforward opportunity to remove this threat.
Since then, a cross party group of parliamentarians (including two former Culture Secretaries) have written to Liz Truss, the Secretary of State for Trade, asking for confirmation that the UK’s ‘specific and admirable advances in data protection for children’ will not be sacrificed, but so far to no avail.
