TOLLAND A local man was killed in a crash on Route 74 early Monday morning, according to police.
A Connecticut State Police report, released Tuesday morning, said the crash happened on Tolland Stage Road Route 74 near its intersection with Evergreen Drive around 5:15 a.m. Monday.
Police identified the victim as 23-year-old Ryan James Bard, of Skungamaug Road.
Bard was driving west in the right lane of two lanes of travel on Route 74 in Tolland when he “lost control” and veered into the grassy roadside area and then hit a tree, police said.
