MOOSE CREEK The Eastern Ontario Agri-Food Network’s (EOAN) lobbying of the City of Cornwall and the United Counties of SDG has paid off.
The organization, which promotes the development of the local agri-food sector, announced on March 9 that for the first time in its 10-year history, it had received funding commitments from all three municipal governments in the region Cornwall, SDG and the United Counties of Prescott-Russell.

“The City of Cornwall and SDG have each decided to fund the EOAN at a rate of $25,000 each per year, and to each send a delegate to our board of directors,” said EOAN executive director Tom Manley.

When your boots are sinking into snow it’s hard to recall the dark matter underneath.
It’s there, the soil, the dirt, and all that makes our SDG terroir. It’s almost equally as hard to recall what it was like before the lockdowns, the masks, the hand sanitizers, and all that Zooming on the internet. Just as the snow melts and the crow flies, so too will the farmer sow seeds in the soil this spring and the cycle will begin again.

MOSES conference continues to have impact on La Crosse community during food drive
Bags of food donations are available at People s Food Co-Op

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The MOSES organic farming conference is continuing to have an impact on the community.
The event is a partnership with People’s Food Co-Op in La Crosse and Rochester for ‘Buy a Bag’ special.
For $10, shoppers can pick up a bag of groceries, to be given to a local food pantry.
Leaders of MOSES say they wanted to help the community in a way that they are familiar with.
