INCREDIBLE views of Fretherne and the River Severn have been captured by a team whose workplace is 100 feet in the air. Two steeplejacks working on St Mary s Church at Fretherne, near Frampton on Severn, took these amazing pictures. Tom Brennan and Richard Osbourne, from Trio Access Limited, dangled from the church spire to allow a close inspection of the condition of the stonework as part of preparatory work to drawing up plans for renovations to the tower and spire. Tom said:  We love our job. Through our work we have the unique opportunity to climb historical buildings such as St Mary s at Fretherene.

Last week a video showing a high-school teacher s remarks on police killings was posted online. At one point she said George Floyd should ve obeyed the police and told her class to always do so. The teacher was placed on administrative leave within days of the video being posted. A high-school teacher in Fairbanks, Alaska, has been placed on administrative leave over remarks she made during a class discussion on police killings, KUAC reported. A video of the discussion which happened during a virtual class meeting was posted to YouTube last week. While school officials have not named the teacher, she is addressed as Ms. Gardner in the video, and a Connie Gardner is listed as a special-education teacher on the Lathrop High School website.

The National Institutes of Health already financed initial testing on people at the University of New Mexico Hospital and at Emory University in Georgia with promising results. And follow-on funding through NIH’s Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics, or RADx, initiative is in the works to expand testing to more institutions across the country, said RingIR founder, President and CEO Charles Harb. “The UNMH trial showed we had something potentially groundbreaking,” Harb told the Journal. “So RADx decided to extend its involvement.”
