Milwaukee-based construction management firm Greenfire Management Services LLC is getting a new president.
Jeb Meier, who most recently served as Greenfire’s chief operating officer, is replacing Kip Ritchie, who served as president since 2014, the firm announced.
Ritchie recently was named chief operating officer of Potawatomi Business Development Corp., Greenfire’s parent company.
Meier has been with Greenfire since 2012. Along with serving as chief operating officer, he also served as Greenfire’s vice president of preconstruction.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead this incredible team of construction professionals and look forward to work we’ll achieve together,” said Meier.
A long underused building at Century City Business Park on Milwaukee s north side has landed another growing business.
Craft Beverage Warehouse LLC, a Milwaukee-based distributor of packaging materials to craft beverage makers, has signed a long-term lease for around 9,000 square feet at the Century City 1 building, 3945 N. 31st St., it was announced Tuesday.
The company was founded one year ago, as the COVID-19 pandemic forced beverage makers to shift quickly from draft and fountain systems, used in taverns and restaurants, to bottles and cans used for carryout sales.
That created a high demand for those materials making it difficult for small and mid-sized beverage producers to buy them, said Kyle Stephens, Craft Beverage Warehouse co-founder.
The specialized in Specialized Accounting Services LLC refers to the company s niche of working with small- and medium-sized franchised businesses that are affiliated with larger chains.
And, while the firm has grown significantly since it was launched 13 years ago, Specialized Accounting still works to uphold one of its core values: living well and having fun.
That s helped the Pleasant Prairie-based business become part of this year s annual Milwaukee Journal Sentinel list of Top Workplaces in Southeastern Wisconsin. COVID may have redefined what fun is, but we continue to support that core value through virtual events, said Gretchen Conley, human resources manager.
