Augusta brewery to offer a beer with a COVID-19 shot
Cushnoc Brewing Co. is partnering with Waldo County General Hospital for a pop-up COVID-19 clinic on June 4 at the brewery s Annex on North Belfast Avenue.

As the strategy to administer COVID-19 inoculations in Maine shifts from mass vaccination sites to smaller clinics and pop-up locations, some organizations are getting creative in their choice of locations, which will involve ice cream shops, farmers markets and, well, beer.
Cushnoc Brewing Co. is partnering with Waldo County General Hospital in the MaineHealth network for “Shot & a Beer” at the brewery’s Annex during which people will be able to receive the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Fundraiser to expand Augusta Skate Park seeks to make park more inviting to newcomers
The fundraiser also seeks to honor the late Chris Thompson, a frequent skater known for welcoming new skaters to the park, who died in a car crash earlier this year.

AUGUSTA Friends of a contractor who works in downtown Augusta who has not been heard from since Monday are asking for help in finding him.
And now, the Augusta Police Department is also seeking the public’s help in locating Pierre “Pete” Bolduc.
On Thursday, police issued a news release asking anyone with information of Bolduc’s whereabouts to call the Augusta Police Department at 207-626-2370. It’s not known what he was wearing, nor whether he was on foot or traveling in a vehicle.
