The grieving mother of Melbourne woman Celeste Manno has called her alleged killer cowardly for refusing to attend court.
Luay Sako, 36, is accused of murdering Ms Manno at her Mernda home in November last year, and was due to face the Melbourne Magistrates Court by videolink on Tuesday for an administrative hearing.
But after a short delay, a guard at the Melbourne Assessment Prison told the court that would not be happening.

Prosecutors have revealed they will be trawling through thousands of hours of security footage after charging a man over the murder of Melbourne mother Ju Kelly Zhang.
Joon Seong Tan, 35, appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court accused of killing Ms Zhang, who was last seen at her home in Epping on February 1.
Mr Tan, of Doncaster, was arrested at Melbourne Airport on Wednesday night.
Magistrate Donna Bakos today approved an extension of time for prosecutors who will be scouring 3,500 hours of security footage, in addition to translating text messages from Mandarin to English.
