The seasonal dust is also expected to hit western to northern Japan through May 9, possibly pushing down visibility to less than 5 kilometers in some regions. The JMA is calling for people to be wary of potential traffic disruptions due to the dust.

Of the nine, the prefectures of Saitama, Shizuoka, and Yamanashi are set to provide venues for the upcoming games. The Mainichi Shimbun sent the questionnaire to all 47 governors on April 20, and received answers from them all by April 28.
