TOKYO -- Yellow dust was observed widely across Japan from Kyushu to Hokkaido on the morning of May 8, reducing visibility in some areas to under 10 kilometers, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) said.
The seasonal dust is also expected to hit western to northern Japan through May 9, possibly pushing down visibility to less than 5 kilometers in some regions. The JMA is calling for people to be wary of potential traffic disruptions due to the dust.
