Belleville urban homeowners caught a break Tuesday for a second year in a row with a slight increase in their property tax bills for the year ahead.
City council approved a 1.4 per cent tax increase amounting to $57.51 for a âBelleville Urbanâ residence valued at $250,000 under provincial assessment.

âCannifton Urbanâ residents with a home assessed at the same value will see a 1.45 per cent hike amounting to $57.12 while âCannifton Ruralâ residents will see a 0.71 per cent increase resulting in $25.85 more on their bill this year.
