Target Just Launched Its Own Vegan Food Line and Nearly Everything Is Under $5

Shares This week, retail giant Target announced the launch of Good & Gather Plant Based, a new sub brand of its in-house Good & Gather brand. Created to serve the demands of its customers, Good & Gather Plant Based will roll out 30 plant-based products across 10 categories such as meat alternatives, plant-based dips, spreads, creamers, salad dressings, and more.  “Good & Gather Plant Based reinforces the brand’s commitment to products that prioritize great taste and quality, with the value only Target can offer,” Rick Gomez, Executive Vice President and Chief Food and Beverage Officer at Target, said. “Guest demand for plant-based offerings is incredibly high and continues to grow. By adding Good & Gather Plant Based to our curated assortment of plant-based offerings, we’re giving guests more of what they want and making it easy for them to discover the joy of food every day.” 

Johnny Rockets Just Launched Plant-Based Cheeseburgers and Vegan Milkshakes with Non-Dairy Whipped Cream at 80 Locations Nationwide

Shares Diner chain Johnny Rockets now offers a plant-based cheeseburger and dairy-free milkshakes at its participating locations (approximately 80 restaurants) in the United States for a limited time. Customers at the 1950’s themed chain can now order a plant-based Impossible Burger in place of animal meat and Daiya Foods’ vegan Cheddar Style Slices along with three dairy-free milkshakes in chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry flavors made with Craig’s hand-scooped vegan ice cream and topped with vegan whipped cream. Johnny Rockets currently does not offer a vegan bun, a spokesperson confirmed to VegNews. The new options are available throughout the summer and may become permanent menu items after the limited-time offer. 

Johnny Rockets Launches Plant-Based Milkshakes and Cheeseburgers

Johnny Rockets is making it possible to experience a classic diner meal with a fully plant-based meal from the burger to the shake. The diner chain just rolled out a plant-based Impossible cheeseburger alongside a line of dairy-free milkshakes at approximately 80 locations nationwide. The diner-style burger will feature an Impossible Foods patty topped with Daiya Foods’ vegan Cheddar Style Slices. Accompanying the classic cheeseburger variation will be three flavors of vegan milkshakes including chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. The hand-spun milkshakes are made with Craig’s vegan ice cream and topped with a new vegan whipped cream. “The Johnny Rockets environment and menu deliver a piece of nostalgic Americana at locations around the globe, CEO of Johnny Rockets’ parent company FAT Brands Andy Wiederhorn said. “While that will always be the most evident and fun part of the Johnny Rockets experience, we also acknowledge the future, which is plant-based.”
