What to do in San Antonio Today: Summer with SAPL
Published: June 2, 2021
Join Patty the Paleta for a summer of reading with San Antonio Public Library.
Kids, teens and adults are invited to register for Summer with SAPL and to set their own goals for reading and having fun. Once a book or activity is complete, participants can record it on their personal log and, starting July 1, kids can receive a certificate and completion package for participating. Prizes also are available for teens and adults while supplies last.
San Antonio Public Library locations are open for browsing so locals can find a new title to read. Special events are being offered online.
The theme of the Kurth Memorial Library s Family Summer Reading Program for 2021 is Tails and Tales. What a great theme. Comparing the tails in literature to the tail of a fish. This leads to some very exciting things June 8th - August 6th.
Registration is going on right now. It started just a few days ago on May 17th, so you haven t missed anything yet.
I am really glad to see the Kurth Memorial Library providing bagged Grab & Go meals during these events. Many children in our area rely on school lunches for most of their nutritional needs. They will have these available Monday - Friday. Offering these food and nutrition solutions is a great idea.
