PRINCE RUPERT, B.C. The fire departments for Terrace and Thornhill took part in a training session this weekend that focused on how to manage propane fires. The event was organized by Emergency Response Assistance Canada and funded by AltaGas, which operates the Ridley Island Propane Export Terminal in Prince Rupert. The training session focused primarily on fires from larger vessels, such as rail cars, but Terrace Deputy Fire Chief Dave Jephson says the training will also assist them with all sorts of propane fires.

Update: The missing snowboarder has been located.
According to a written statement, the snowboarder was reported missing around 7 pm last night. His vehicle was located on the Shames Mountain access road, near the avalanche gate.
