Autism worker arrested on pornography, solicitation charges

An employee of a Davis autism treatment provider was arrested Tuesday after allegedly trying to solicit a developmentally disabled minor for sex, according to the Davis Police Department.
Salvador Hernandez, 25, was taken into custody while leaving his job at 1947 Galileo Court in South Davis, Police Chief Darren Pytel said. Although he did not specify the employer, the address is the same as the Center for Autism and Related Disorders’ local clinic.
Hernandez has since been terminated from the company, a spokesperson said.
Pytel said the investigation began earlier Tuesday, when a Southern California law-enforcement officer contacted the Davis Police Department and reported he had engaged in communications with a Davis resident “who wanted to engage in sex acts with a child.”
