The Waterbury Regional Chamber has named three new hires: Chris Caulfield, director of events; David Huck, communications and social media director; and Joseph Violette, director of public policy and economic cevelopment.
As a sport management graduate from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Caulfield has over 20 years of event experience. He has worked for minor league affiliates of the New York Yankees and New York Rangers and gained most of his experience working at Mohegan Sun as its manager of box office operations and its special events manager. As the events director, Caulfield will oversee the creation, planning and execution of digital and in-person events for the Chamber.
Pictures show giant Chinese cranes arriving in Mersey after journey of more than 11,800 miles
Each crane measures 35 metres in height with a weight of around 500 tonnes.

A fleet of huge cranes arrived on the Mersey today, marking the end of a major project which has spanned several year.
As part of the massive £400 million project, the cranes from Shanghai in China have travelled a huge 11,831 nautical miles to make it to Liverpool.
Spectators caught a glimpse of the cranes arriving in New Brighton and Crosby this afternoon, as they were visible on the horizon from noon onwards.
