EATON RAPIDS, MI (WTVB) â The girls high school soccer season ended for Coldwater last night, falling to Eaton Rapids 5-0 in the opening round of the Division Two districts.
The Greyhounds scored the opening goal halfway through the first half, then added the remaining four goals in the second half. Taylor Robison made 17 saves in goal, as Eaton Rapids outshot the Lady Cardinals 24-4.
Eaton Rapids advances to play the winner of tonightâs Charlotte-Parma Western matchup in the district semifinals next week.
Coldwater finishes the season at 5-12 overall, in the final game for the eight seniors on the 20 person varsity roster.

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) â After only scoring one goal in the first half, Coldwater and Hastings combined for eight second half goals, as the Lady Cardinals won 6-3 Thursday in girls high school soccer.
Coldwaterâs Masyn Marsh scored the first of her three goals with 24:31 to play in the first half, assisted by Marissa Cox. Marshâs second goal came five minutes into the second half, assisted by Juana Mancera.
Hastings picked up their first goal with 29:33 to play, before Allison Miller got the first of her three goals, assisted by Anna DeMeester five minutes later. The Saxons then tied the score at 3-3 with two goals one minute apart with about 10 minutes to play.

BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) â The Coldwater High Schools girls varsity soccer team fell at Pennfield 2-0 Tuesday night in the opening round of the Interstate 8 Conference Silver Division Tournament.
Pennfield scored the opening goal just 44 seconds into the contest, then added one more goal 15 minutes before halftime, out shooting Coldwater 14-6 on the night.
Taylor Robison made nine saves in goal, as the Lady Cardinals fell to 1-7 in the conference and 4-11 overall.
Coldwater Thursday will play the loser of tonightâs other semifinal match between Jackson Northwest and Hastings.

GRAND LEDGE, MI (WTVB) â Despite a strong defensive first half, the Coldwater High School girls varsity soccer team fell at Grand Ledge 6-0 Saturday afternoon.
Grand Ledge only led 1-0 at the half, then scored two more in the first five minutes of the second half to put the game away. Taylor Robison made 19 saves in goal for the Lady Cardinals, the second most in school history for a single game.
Coldwater was playing its second game in two days, and third in four days.
With the loss, Coldwater falls to 4-8 on the season. They will host Jackson Lumen Christi in Interstate 8 Conference action Wednesday.
