GRAND LEDGE, MI (WTVB) â Despite a strong defensive first half, the Coldwater High School girls varsity soccer team fell at Grand Ledge 6-0 Saturday afternoon.
Grand Ledge only led 1-0 at the half, then scored two more in the first five minutes of the second half to put the game away. Taylor Robison made 19 saves in goal for the Lady Cardinals, the second most in school history for a single game.
Coldwater was playing its second game in two days, and third in four days.
With the loss, Coldwater falls to 4-8 on the season. They will host Jackson Lumen Christi in Interstate 8 Conference action Wednesday.

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) â The Coldwater High School girls varsity soccer team came up just short Wednesday evening against the stateâs fourth ranked team in Division Two, falling at home to Parma Western 1-0.
The Panthers scored the lone goal of the game with 28:34 to play in the first half. They outshot Coldwater 16-4 on the night, with Taylor Robison making eight saves in goal for the Lady Cardinals.
Coldwater is now 1-3 in the Interstate 8 Conference and 4-6 overall. They will host Jackson Northwest Friday for Senior Recogition Night.
The Coldwater junior varsity team played Parma Western to a 1-1 draw Wednesday. Maya Walinski scored the Lady Cardinals only goal on a penalty kick.
