A $1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy s Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office will help Wickliffe-based Lubrizol Corp. create membranes for heavy-duty fuel cell applications.
The company s Lubrizol Corporate Ventures team will focus on improving the durability of Proton-Exchange Membrane (PEM) Fuel Cells through enhanced membrane oxidation performance, a news release said. This will help reduce emissions and add hours of run time for fuel cells. Lubrizol will work with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory on validation testing.
