The process for filling the council seat included two parts – first, council declared the seat formerly held by Fraser empty and then made the move to appoint Poetter. Council will have a special meeting Friday afternoon where staff are expected to advise on Poetter’s acceptance of the appointment and prepare the required bylaw to finalize the move.
