A Basingstoke man has been given a curfew after admitting to public order offences. Samuel Vincent Rolfe, of Cayman Close, admitted to causing harassment, alarm or distress to Gary and Michelle Dickman by using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Oakridge on December 19. The Popley resident also admitted returning the following day. Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates Court last week, the 20-year-old was given a four-week curfew, to be monitored by an electronic tag. He must be at his home address between 10pm and 6am on Mondays to Thursdays. Rolfe must also take part in 15 rehabilitation activity days. A man who was awaiting trial after denying assault has breached his bail conditions.

Wife arrested for murder after her husband is found stabbed to death Katie Weston For Mailonline © Provided by Daily Mail MailOnline logo A 51-year-old woman has been arrested for murder after her husband was found stabbed to death in their home.  The 54-year-old man’s body was discovered at the property in Exmouth, Devon, after police were called at around 9pm on Sunday. Police were alerted by ambulance staff at the house on Tennyson Way, in the Brixington area of the town, and the woman was arrested on suspicion of murder. Officers from the Major Crime Team were gathering evidence and crime officers were also at the scene. Police said the man had been stabbed.

Share An extension was granted today to detain the woman at Exeter Magistrates Court. A source said it was likely she will be charged and appear before the court on Wednesday. In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said: Emergency services attended the property on Tennyson Way, Brixington, and a 54-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene.  Scenes of crime officers are carrying out enquiries at the address. His next-of-kin have been informed. Formal identification is yet to take place. A 51-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in police custody.  An extension for her detention has been granted while a mental health assessment is conducted and detectives from the Major Crime Team continue gathering crucial evidence.
