Jackson gets behind Underdawgs during their time playing in TBT The Jackson Underdawgs have become a local sensation in recent years. Coached by Dexter Williams and made almost completely of a virtual all-star team from high school basketball circa 2006-2010, the team has competed in The Basketball Tournament for the past few years. Before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down gatherings in 2020, Oman Arena was set to host a regional tournament last year. They’ve become a team for much of the Jackson area to get behind for a few days each summer. Anthony Kirk, owner of Turntable Coffee Counter in Downtown Jackson, has been a fan of them for years and wanted to help them out.
