A lot of Wisconsin wildlife shuts down in the winter, I on the other hand, annually hibernate over the first three weeks of July. A couple of novels, a few day trips and plenty of tee times are in the books, vacation’s over and here comes the 2021 Green Bay Packers season.
Head Coach Matt LaFleur’s third training camp welcomes rookies and first year players on Friday, the vets report early next week and the first camp practice hits Ray Nitschke Field on Wednesday, July 28.
Needless to say, this is going to be one wild summer. The unresolved Aaron Rodgers dilemma will dominate the Titletown District but as nearly every NFL coach says about this time of year, “the train is leaving the station.” If the reigning MVP is aboard, fine. If not, well the train must roll on.

Jones Brothers Youth Skills Camp Returns to El Paso
Aaron and Alvin Jones, both Mustang alums and UTEP stars, put the camp together under their non-profit foundation, A&A All the Way. The first group featured younger kids third through eighth grade and the second group welcomed high schoolers in the area.
The twin brothers had some special guests including UTEP alums and current NFL players Roy Robertson-Harris (Jaguars) and Nik Needham (Dolphins). Packers running back Dexter Williams also made an appearance and joined his teammate in El Paso. In addition, some current UTEP football players helped out at the event as well, including Deion Hankins and Praise Amaewhule.

Packers Running Back Depth Chart Quick Reads
Aaron Jones: Jones would have been the top running back on the free agent market. Instead, on the eve of the negotiating period, he inked a four-year contract to stay in Green Bay. A fifth-round compensatory draft pick in 2017, Jones has been nothing short of fantastic. In four seasons, he ranks tied for fourth in franchise history with 37 rushing touchdowns and 11th with 3,364 rushing yards. Jones’ career mark of 5.17 yards per carry ranks sixth in NFL history.
AJ Dillon: Last year’s second-round draft pick got only one real opportunity as a rookie. That came in Week 16 against Tennessee. With Jamaal Williams inactive, Dillon rumbled 21 times for 124 yards and two touchdowns. It was a dominant performance. With Williams off to Detroit in free agency, Dillon figures to get a lot more opportunities as the new No. 2 back.
