A statewide grand jury last week indicted two Rhode Island men for murder.
The grand jury on Jan. 27 indicted Jose “Chepe” Aparicio Mendoza, 31, on one count each of murder, kidnapping, larceny over $1,500 and obstruction of an officer in execution of his duty in the death of former co-worker 50-year-old Jose Segura, whose body was discovered last month at a former rest area off Route 295 in Lincoln.
Aparicio Mendoza, of 13 Parker St., Central Falls, is accused of killing Segura, of Providence, on Nov. 3. He was reported missing a week later after last being seen near the Dexter Training Ground in Providence. The office of the state’s medical examiner determined that Segura, whose body was discovered Nov. 26., died by homicide.

A Central Falls man has been arrested and charged in the murder of a co-worker whose body was discovered last month at a former rest area off Route 295 in Lincoln, the state police said.
The state police Tuesday afternoon announced the arrest of Jose “Chepe” Aparicio-Mendoza, 31, of 13 Parker St., Central Falls.
Apraricio-Mendoza is accused of killing Jose Segura, 50, of Providence, on Nov. 3. Segura s body was discovered Nov. 26. He was reported missing Nov. 10. Segura was last seen in the area of the Dexter Training Ground in Providence. The office of the state’s medical examiner has determined that Segura died from a homicide.
