When cellar hand Staci Barnette came into work and discovered all her colleagues with mullets, she decided to join the party. “I did not want to let the guys have all the fun, and I always wanted an excuse to go to a barber shop. Then I found out the cause,” Barnette said. This mullet mania kicked off beginning of March when Indevin winemaker Dean Boyce has encouraged his workmates to join a “Mullet-o-thon” to raise money for the Starship foundation in Auckland. Boyce wanted to thank the children s hospital and its staff after her daughter Amelia was cared for three weeks after being hit by a car in Blenheim in December.
