Dinwiddie is confident Arbuckle will be ready to go when Toronto kicks off its 21 season in Calgary on Aug. 7. It s just one of those things when it comes to soft tissue you re so worried about having a pull, Dinwiddie said during a video conference. Right now he s got a little thing with it but he hasn t pulled anything and I d just hate for him to go out there too early and pull his hamstring. If Nick isn t ready to go, I m comfortable with the other guys . I like all three of our guys at this stage.
Toronto signed Arbuckle, 27, as a free agent Feb. 1. The move reunited Arbuckle with Dinwiddie, who served as Calgary s quarterback coach (2016-19) before being hired as the Argos head coach.

Toronto Argonauts head coach Ryan Dinwiddie continues to be cautious with quarterback Nick Arbuckle s hamstring injury.
Dinwiddie kept Arbuckle out of Toronto s scrimmage Monday as a precaution. He took the same approach last week for the club s opening scrimmage of training camp so once again veteran McLeod Bethel-Thompson and Antonio Pipkin took the quarterback reps.
It s not my first time being in a new environment, new system, new defence and new city, Muamba said. But it s been amazing. There s a lot of familiar faces regardless of the fact that it s a new team I haven t played for in the past.
There are many new faces at the University of Guelph with the Argos, who posted a 4-14 record in 2019, the last time the CFL played. Since then, the franchise has added new general manager Michael Clemons and head coach Ryan Dinwiddie as it looks to return to the playoffs for the first time since winning the 17 Grey Cup.

Hughes has been on a quarterback-chasing tear for the last four years, leading the league in that category, but you could argue that he hasn’t really slowed down since he emerged as an elite d-lineman in 2011. He set a career-high in sacks with 18 in 2013, but has been in double-digits in sacks every year except for 2014, when he had eight in 11 games. That’s led to six CFL all-star selections and eight CFL West all-star nods.
His consistency has been remarkable; that he posted 15 sacks in 2018 and 16 in 2019 is an incredible example of sustained excellence. There is no secret to how Hughes has been able to do this, it’s just that the obvious answer isn’t appealing: Hard work.
