Astalon: Tears of the Earth brings action platforming to Switch in June
A charming retro action experience is on the way to Switch.
Publisher Dangen Entertainment and developer LABS Works have announced a June 3, 2021 release date for
Astalon: Tears of the Earth on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It’s a single-player action platformer with a cute 8-bit visual style that will retail for $19.99, and if the style of its slick promotional art looks familiar at all, it’s because it was created by
Dragon Half manga creator Ryusuke Mita.
Like in the
Astalon: Tears of the Earth is character swapping, although it seems you will have to find a campfire to make a switch. You can swap among Arias, a fighter with higher defense and short-range sword attacks; Algus, a wizard with magic bolts that can travel through walls; and Kyuli, a rogue with a long-range bow and the ability to jump off of walls.
