Austin s beloved Castle Hill graffiti park is being reincarnated into a nearly 18-acre open-air cultural center fit with art exhibits, food and drinks, practice paint walls and a market. The project, which is set to open by the airport sometime this summer, is much larger than the original and less central. But it’ll take aspects of the original with it including one of the walls itself.
When the graffiti park was created in 2011 by HOPE, a nonprofit that connects artists with social causes, it quickly became an Austin icon. It attracted people from all over to climb the concrete walls on Baylor Street to paint a temporary masterpiece or pick up a can of spray paint for the first time and think for a quick, exhilarating moment:
A NEW business park, including office space, 20 business units and a cafe could be created in Keighley town centre. The site, which would be called Providence Place, would be built on a site on Dalton Lane, opposite Keighley College. A new planning application would see the site redeveloped, with existing crumbling buildings replaced with new, modern units that would offer significant employment opportunity to the town. The application, which has just been submitted to Bradford Council, says the scheme will create smaller units for new businesses as three larger units, one of which could attract a national company looking to establish a new trade counter in Keighley.

Eddisons acquired industrial accommodation Foundry Park on behalf of Malco Holdings. The new 40,000 sq ft business unit, on a former Keighley College site acquired from Bradford Council and Homes England, was developed by Dalton Lane Properties and completed in August after delays in construction caused by the first lockdown. Foundry Park, constructed by Stainforth Construction on a two-acre site, is occupied on a 15-year lease by manufacturer Platinum Stairlifts, at a £253,500 annual rent. With a local workforce of over 200 people, Platinum Stairlifts is one of Keighley’s largest employers. The growing business has consolidated what was previously a multi-site operation onto the single site at Foundry Park.
