Other smaller South Carolina cities and towns, generally with populations of less than 50,000, will likewise receive an allocation from the Fiscal Recovery Funds. Current plans call for the federal government to release an additional $435,125,080 to the State of South Carolina for disbursement to the cities and towns. DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – Authorities in Darlington County have made an arrest in connection to a deadly February shooting.
Major David Young with the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect, identified as Ronnie James McDougal, Jr., turned himself in Thursday on a murder charge.
The charge stems from a shooting on Feb. 27 on Hartsville Airport Road, a dead end road that ends at the Hartsville Regional Airport.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control announced Saturday 425 new COVID-19 cases and 19 additional deaths.
This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Carolina since the start of the pandemic to 485,387 and deaths to 8,438, officials said.
In Horry County, there were 25 new COVID-19 cases and no additional deaths. In Florence County, 12 new virus cases were reported but no additional deaths.
The only death in the Grand Strand and Pee Dee reported Saturday occurred in Darlington County, according to DHEC data.

DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) â Another round of severe storms marched through the Pee Dee on Tuesday night, bringing heavy winds, rain and lightning.
In the Easterling Landing community in Darlington County, one person was hurt when neighbors said a tree fell on a manâs camper.
Resident John Rodgers said he was moving to a safer place when the storm picked up. Thatâs when he saw an ambulance and police cars.
