The stone smashed through the windshield of the vehicle and struck the victim on December 10. The incident occurred near the East McIver Road overpass in the city of Florence. Authorities said the 15-year-old was unconscious when he was taken to hospital. According to WMBF News, another nearby driver said her car windshield was also struck by a rock. The Darlington County Sheriff s Office said a truck driver who was also hit by flying debris reported seeing two youths throwing objects from the overpass.
