Two familiar playoff foes met up with a spot in the 1AA Eastern regional championship game on the line, and the Tarboro Vikings defeated the Holmes Aces by a 63-21 margin at home.
For the fourth year in a row, Tarboro and Holmes faced off in the playoffs, and for the fourth year in a row, the Vikings were victorious.
The two teams wasted no time in beginning to light up the scoreboard, as the hosts scored two quick touchdowns on a run by Travis Johnson and a reception by Micah Taylor after a Holmes fumble.
