Los Angeles Rams general manager Les Snead pulled it off, moving on from Jared Goff in a trade with the Detroit Lions, securing what appears to be an upgrade at the quarterback position in the addition of one-time Pro Bowler Matthew Stafford
However, the cost was significant, giving up first-round picks in the 2022 and 2023 draft, along with a third-round selection (89
th overall) in this year’s draft to secure Stafford’s services. Pending Goff passing a physical with the Lions, the deal does not become official until the new league year in mid-March.

ALLEN PARK Jared Goff’s inclusion in the Matthew Stafford blockbuster trade was viewed by many as a salary dump ala an NBA trade deadline deal.
While Goff’s massive contract probably helped pull that reported additional first-round pick out of the Los Angeles Rams, it sure sounds like the Lions and the quarterback himself are pleased with the pairing.

Instead of beating this dead horse about revitalizing downtown, let s get practical. Instead of trying to create an interest around the stadium, build the new replacement stadium where there is already interest. Say: south of Jacksonville between here and St. Augustine/World Golf Village. The mentality of We must sink money into this foolish investment is dangerous. Sometimes you just need to accept what is. The Landing was tried, it failed. COVID has changed things like this forever. It baffles me why this clinging to the idea that the Jaguars must create all these external money sources to be viable is so prevalent. How much are the Jaguars needing to make to stop this need? What do other teams in the lower tiers of this issue do? I haven t heard of any other team having to find alternate revenue streams or their franchise is in danger. Help me understand why this is a Jacksonville thing? Our tickets were 19

The 2020 season is now firmly in the rearview mirror. For the short and long-term future, most will remember 2020 as the year the Jaguars lost just enough to land the No. 1 overall pick. But while the future is always appealing, there is still value in learning from the past.
As a result, we are going to go through each of the Jacksonville Jaguars position groups and review the season we just saw play out. Despite Jacksonville s franchise-worst 1-15 record, some position groups still flashed impressive play. Meanwhile, others failed to take the step forward the Jaguars ultimately needed.
We already covered quarterbacks, so we will continue to look at the offensive backfield in this edition with a peek at the running back group.
