He is one of thousands of firefighters and police officers pushing for change, saying, I want to get those employees back to work. We need that long-term cognitive therapeutic therapy that workers comp is designed to give so members can be healed from those injuries we cannot see.

The New-Indy Containerboard paper mill in Catawba, South Carolina.
A South Carolina paper mill is now facing a third federal lawsuit from neighbors. The suit filed Tuesday says the plant s emissions are causing pollution and making them sick.
Like the two previous suits, this one also was filed at federal court in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and seeks class-action status and at least $5 million in damages from the company, New-Indy Containerboard. It also wants the plant shut down until the problem is fixed.
The suit was filed by Terri Kennedy of Indian Land, South Carolina. She lives seven miles northeast of the plant, which is along the Catawba River in York County. Kennedy says several times a week, the smell of rotten eggs from hydrogen sulfide and other pollutants enters her home.

South Carolina House members voted Wednesday to add execution by firing squad amid a lack of lethal injection drugs, according to local newspaper The State.
State lawmakers voted 66-43 Wednesday for a bill that would add death by firing squad to the default method of execution from lethal injection to the electric chair. The state is one of nine that still use the electric chair and will become the fourth to use firing squads.
The state Senate approved the bill in March but conducted another procedural vote after some minor modifications. The bill now heads to the desk of Republican Gov. Henry McMaster, who is expected to sign it.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - State lawmakers voted 66-43 Wednesday for a bill that will change the default method of execution from lethal injection to the electric chair. The legislation also includes an option for death row inmates to be executed by a firing squad.
After another procedural vote, the bill will go to Gov. Henry McMaster for approval.
“We are one step closer to providing victims’ families and loved ones with the justice and closure they are owed by law. I will sign this legislation as soon as it gets to my desk,” McMaster wrote in a tweet after the bill’s passage.
