A male tourist sustained minor wounds after he slipped and fell while climbing a high rock cliff, widely known as the ‘death cliff,’ at Ma Pi Leng Pass in Lai Lung Commune, Meo Vac District, northern Ha Giang Province to take pictures on Sunday.
According to preliminary information, a group of tourists, including Mai Thuy H., 29, hailing from northern Son La Province, visited the well-known rock cliff early on Sunday afternoon.
While H. was climbing the cliff, which is dubbed a must-visit destination in Ha Giang for its breath-taking photography opportunity, he lost his footing and tumbled down to a lower cliff.

Although in its infancy as a market niche, locations where popular films have been shot are attracting many tourists in Vietnam.
Thua Thien Hue has witnessed a sudden influx of tourists, visiting the filming locations of movies like Mat Biec (Dreamy Eyes) and Gai Gia Lam Chieu 5 (The Last Egg 5).
Nguyen Van Phuc, deputy director of the central province’s Department of Tourism, expressed his appreciation for the film crew who have selected the province as shooting locations, including that of Dreamy Eyes .
Directed by Victor Vu, Dreamy Eyes was released in December 2019 and became one of the top 10 highest grossing movies of the year, reaching the VND100 billion ($4.3 million) mark within nine days.

Den, a Dao ethnic man, lives in Nam Dam Village, Quan Ba Commune, Quan Ba District in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang.
In 2014, Den and other people established the Nam Dam Cooperative to grow and process medicinal products, providing services like medicinal herbal baths, saunas, accommodation for tourists and tourism services.
