ST. LOUIS How about a great story to end out a not-so-great year?
The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery announced it is doling out more than $260,000 to families in need this holiday season thanks to miracle donations from supporters.
Crisis Nursery provides a short-term safe haven for children, newborn to 12 years old, to stay when their families are in crisis. It serves about 5,000 children a year, according to its website.

The Chautauqua Center has added several new providers to its roster of doctors and nurses.
Evonne Butler has joined The Chautauqua Center as a family nurse practitioner in Dunkirk. She was raised in Arkansas and received her master’s degree from Arkansas State University. Butler said she is excited to explore the region and experience winter for the first time. She loves God, family, fishing and camping.
Dr. Patrick Dennison practiced primary care at The Chautauqua Center in the past and returned to the Dunkirk clinic in September. He is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University, Akron University and The Ohio Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio where he received his degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
