Man formerly charged in bar attack, charged with murder, attempted murder SOUTH BEND, Ind.   A man has been charged with murder, involuntary manslaughter and attempted murder in connection with a shooting at a home on Dunham Street on April 1 that killed Lateisha Burnett, according to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor s Office. Kenneth Dogan has been charged with invasion of privacy, battery by means of a deadly weapon, burglary, criminal recklessness, two counts of attempted murder, voluntary manslaughter, felony murder and murder. Dogan was previously charged with invasion of privacy and battery by means of a deadly weapon, but those charges were dismissed and re-filed along with additional charges.

Prosecutors file murder charges in killing of woman in South Bend

SOUTH BEND — A south Bend man faces nine criminal counts, including murder and attempted murder, in connection to the death of 28-year-old Lateisha Burnett on April 1.  Prosecutors say Kenneth Dogan, 41, got into an altercation with some of Burnett s friends at Cheers Pub in Roseland before driving to West Dunham Street and shooting into a house where she was staying. Dogan is charged with two counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of voluntary manslaughter in addition to other felony counts of battery and criminal recklessness.  Dogan was previously charged with battery and invasion of privacy for the incident at the bar, but prosecutors filed the additional charges Wednesday. 

Homicide investigation leads to battery charge in unrelated incident at Roseland pub

SOUTH BEND — A St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit investigation into a Thursday homicide on Dunham Street has led to battery charges against a South Bend man in an unrelated incident. Kenneth Dogan, 41, was charged with battery by means of a deadly weapon and invasion of privacy on Monday after police say he hit his ex-girlfriend s cousin in the head with a glass bottle at Cheers Pub in Roseland.  Court documents say Dogan s ex-girlfriend was celebrating her birthday at the bar on Thursday and posted videos of herself at the bar on social media. Dogan saw the videos and went to the bar and confronted the woman, court documents said. As Dogan became aggressive with his ex-girlfriend, her cousin attempted to defender her. During the scuffle, Dogan hit the man in the head with a glass bottle, court documents said.
