Jay Costa, D-Forest Hills and the Senate minority leader, has called it for what it is: “misguided and political farce.” Gov. Tom Wolf labeled it a “disgrace to democracy” and a “sham.” State Attorney General Josh Shapiro is warning that he will bring to bear the power of his office if Mr. Mastriano tries to use the subpoena powers of his Senate Intergovernmental Operations Committee to force the issue.
