A woman who led Texas troopers on a chase to Comanche County was found to be driving a missing Houston man’s car and that man was then found dead in her apartment, according to court records.
Troopers encountered 24-year-old Kelly Slayton following a road rage clash Dec. 20 in Hamilton about 68 miles west of Waco but she fled and crashed the vehicle in the neighboring county. Houston investigators were flagged two days later when it became apparent that her vehicle belonged to missing man Joshua Pavey, whose friends said he vanished Dec. 19 after going to see a woman.
