WAUSAU - Marathon County will host one of four new community-based vaccination sites in the state, with plans to open mid-April, according to the county s health department.
The county s health department recommended the super site be located at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau, as it is easy to find, has the space and parking to support a large clinic and is on the bus route, said Judy Burrows, the health department s spokesperson. The college has been used in previous months as a drive-thru coronavirus testing site.

RIB MOUNTAIN, WI (WSAU) Health officials are letting the public know of a possible COVID-19 exposure at a business.
The Marathon County Health Department put out a press release Tuesday afternoon about potential COVID-19 exposure at Bella Nails and Spa in mid-January. The release is being put out to identify possible close contacts at the business that could not be found through other means of contact tracing.
An individual who works at the business on 2801 Rib Mountain tested positive for COVID-19 and was working at the nail salon during their infectious period. They worked at the business on Tuesday, January 19th from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Wednesday, January 20th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
