CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson track and field program is set to compete at UCF’s Knights Invite from April 23-24 at the UCF Soccer and Track Complex in Orlando, Fla. Spectators will be allowed at the meet, but will be required to remain in the bleachers at the track and field stadium. Masks are also required at all times and everyone is encouraged to social distance.
Clemson will start its competition on Friday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m. with the women’s 400-meter hurdles and will resume action at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday with the women’s 4x100m relay.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Veronica Fraley had a historic outing on Friday evening during the women’s discus throw and shot put competitions at the 53rd Tennessee Relays, as the junior from Raleigh, N.C., produced a school-record performance in the discus throw and a No. 2 all-time mark in the shot put. The success came following Fraley’s marks of 56.70 meters (186 feet) and 16.30m (53-5.75) in the discus and shot put, respectively.
Fraley entered the meet as the No. 2 all-time performer in the discus and No. 3 all-time performer in the shot put, and is now the first athlete in Clemson history to eclipse the 56-meter mark in the women’s discus. Entering Friday’s competition, Fraley’s mark in the discus would have ranked ninth nationally.

CLEMSON, S.C. – Laurie Barton and Trishauna Hemmings proved once again on Saturday why they are two of the nation’s best athletes, as each recorded top-5 all-time marks at Clemson during the final day of the Tiger Paw Invitational. Barton who entered the day already the No. 4 performer at Clemson in the women’s 800 meters ran 2:03.91 to set a new personal best since transferring to Clemson. Hemmings ran the 200m for the first time in her career and became the No. 5 performer on Clemson’s all-time list after crossing the line in 23.28. Hemmings’s time produced a third overall standing on Saturday and placed her within the top 10 nationally.
