news@tribtoday.com WARREN A 19-year-old Warren man faces a host of charges after police said he ran from a traffic stop on the southeast side Tuesday evening. Christopher Crew, of Charles Avenue SE, pleaded not guilty to charges of carrying concealed weapon, obstructing official business, driving under suspension, speeding and turning without signaling. Crew posted a $5,000 bond and will appear for preliminary hearing 10:15 a.m. Jan. 12 before Municipal Judge Thomas Gysegem, court records show. According to a police report, officers observed a gray Nissan Rogue speeding on Youngstown Road, which then turned onto Francis and then turned onto Sussex with a late signal. The car then stopped at a driveway in the 1000 block of Kenmore and the man fled on foot after police officers approached.

Township garage fire destroys residence | News, Sports, Jobs

Weathersfield A Monday morning fire destroyed a house in Weathersfield. Weathersfield Fire Department received a call at 5:58 a.m. Monday about the fire at 2308 S. Bellwood Ave. Fire Capt. Jeff Tucker said, “A gentleman was up making coffee and smelled the smoke.” According to the Trumbull County 911 call summary, the garage was engulfed in flames and collapsed by 6:02 a.m., and the fire then spread to the house. The residents escaped without injury, but the structure was a total loss, Tucker said. A heater in the attached garage may have been the culprit, but the cause still is under investigation.

Woman charged in Sunday stabbing | News, Sports, Jobs

Dec 29, 2020 WARREN Police officers are investigating a stabbing that occurred about 8:45 p.m. Sunday at a home in the 600 block of Olive Avenue NE. Officers arrested Carolyn Wargo, 31, of Olive Avenue NE, who was arraigned Monday in Warren Municipal Court. Wargo pleaded not guilty to a second-degree felonious assault charge. Judge Thomas Gysegem ordered Wargo be released on a personal recognizance bond and told Wargo not to have contact with the victim or go to the address where the stabbing took place. According to a Warren police report, numerous people were found on the porch with the stabbing victim and yelled at police, identifying Wargo as the suspect. Police tried to stop the woman as she walked toward her house, and she ignored their commands, the report states.

She was born Aug. 23, 1943, in Alliance, to Harry and Melba Drew Hayes. She had a career as a nurse aide for more than 10 years. Countless staff, patients and friends would constantly and consistently praise her for the love and care she provided them. She also served as an auxiliary officer for the Alliance Police Department. People all around the world benefited from the life of Toni Louis. While most could only speak about her voice from a conversation, not ever meeting her in person, they all were tremendously blessed and loved because of her. Those blessings may have come through her children and those who affectionately called her friend or Aunt Toni. She had the greatest quality of Jesus, LOVE. Dec 19, 2020 HOWLAND In an effort to spread holiday cheer and demonstrate their appreciation, members of Howland Middle School’s Student Senate and choir have recorded video messages for local health care workers who are supporting the community during the pandemic. The video messages have been sent to Trumbull Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph Warren Hospital, St. Elizabeth Hospital and Shepherd of the Valley. The messages include greetings such as “the Howland Student Senate and choir appreciate all you’ve done to keep our families and community safe, we wish you and your families joy, laughter and warmth as we move into 2021” and “to all of you who have been helping others nonstop, we wish you happy holidays.”
