Pernice died Feb. 14 in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Joseph Warren Hospital following complications from a recent battle with COVID-19. She was 62. The Rev. T. Anthony Bronner, presiding bishop and chancellor of Turning the World Upside Down Covenant Fellowship Inc. extended his sympathies and condolences to the family of Pernice. “Pastor Pernice played an instrumental role in the developing of lives in the Warren and Ashtabula churches. She personified the relatable evangelist and the every person’s pastor,” Bronner said in a statement.

Girl, 7, jumped out of vehicle Feb 17, 2021 WARREN A scared 7-year-old girl told police officers she jumped out of a vehicle her mom was driving before it crashed Saturday morning in the 3800 block of Youngstown Road SE. The girl, according to the report, said she was scared. She landed on her feet and was not injured. The mother, Monique Swonger, 29, of Ferncliff Avenue NW, is charged with OVI, failure to control and child endangering, the report states. According to the Warren Municipal Court website, not guilty pleas for the three charges were entered on Swonger’s behalf during Tuesday’s arraignment before Judge Terry Ivanchak. Swonger was ordered held without bond and will appear for a preliminary hearing at 10:15 a.m. Feb. 26.

Feb 17, 2021 WARREN A Warren woman was arraigned on two felonious assault charges and another count of endangering children for her part in a motor vehicle accident on Parkman Road NW Feb. 2 that turned into a fight. Breeona Bishop, 24, of Willow Drive, Warren, had not guilty pleas entered into the record, according to the Warren Municipal Court website. Judge Thomas Gysegem ordered Bishop held without bond and set another hearing for 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Bishop will remain in Trumbull County jail, where she has been since her arrest last Friday morning. The woman, according to police reports, was involved in a two-car accident the afternoon of Feb. 2 on Parkman Road NW. The accident apparently turned into road rage as groups of people were fighting in the street when officers arrived about 1:55 p.m., according to police reports.
